A Scientific Visit for Students of the College of Pharmacy to the Dohuk Environment Directorate

The Department of Medicinal Chemistry organized a scientific visit for fifth stage students of the College of Pharmacy to the Dohuk Environment Directorate, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Nidhal Meena Sher Mohammed, a lecturer of pharmaceutical instrumental analysis, on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
The visit included a tour to introduce the quality of the work of the Dohuk Environment Directorate and a tour of the scientific laboratories to learn about all laboratory tests, equipments and instruments used in conducting laboratory analyses with a detailed explanation by Mr. Hassan Ramadan Abdou and Ms. Bafreen  Ahmed Hussein giving important information about the tests on different environmental samples and how these instruments work, and how to handle them to give accredited results.
The visit was a good opportunity to link between theoretical lectures with the practical side to understand the principle of work of these instruments such as HPLC, GC, Flame photometry and Atomic absorption spectroscopy,  and their applications in pharmaceutical field .At the end of the visit, the accompanying academic delegation and students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Director of the Directorate, Mr. Dilshad Abdul Rahman and all the administrative and laboratory staff for the continuous support and cooperation between the Dohuk Environment Directorate and the College of Pharmacy at the University of Dohuk.
